ORTHOGRAPHY
In the beginning, we were introduced to the basics of orthographic drawing and ere taught how to use drafting instruments correctly. This step was important as it helped us build confidence in handling the tools and understanding the precision required in technical drawings. To get comfortable, we started with small drafting exercises, which allowed us to practice line quality, proportions and neatness.
Once we were used to the process, we moved on to larger scale drawings. At this stage, we learned how to represent a building or object through different views as the plan, section and elevation. This helped us understand how a three dimensional form can be represented in two dimensions for clarity and accuracy.

PLAN, SECTION AND ELEVATION

Later we were divided into group of four and assigned a structure to study in detail. We were given the structure - N House by Sou Fujimoto. As part of the exercise, we carefully analyzed the building plans, drafted them and then translated them into a scaled model at 1:100.
After drafting the structures we made a model in groups of two.
Overall, this phase of learning gave us a strong foundation in drawing techniques , accuracy and representation essential in architectural studies.
